North Coast Training Awards - Launch functions

North Coast Training Awards Launch functions were held across the region on 1st February 2012.

Details of the launches and photos are as follows: 

Lismore: Lismore Workers Club

“The Lismore launch was held at the Lismore Workers Club with great attendance from local RTOs, AACs, Job Service providers and sponsors. Sarah Kemp – North Coast Apprentice of The Year 2011 kindly gave her time to speak at the launch about her experience as a trainee and the fantastic support provided by all parties as she progressed through her traineeship. There is great support for the Training Awards in the Northern Area and the afternoon provided a good networking opportunity.”

Coffs Harbour: Coffs Harbour Ex Servicemen’s Club

"The launch for Coffs harbour was held on Wednesday 1 February at the C.ex Coffs Harbour with fantastic representation from the Vocational Education and Training sector. Our sponsors were also well represented and on behalf of Netpac I would like to extend again a very warm ‘Thank you” to them. Jessica McBaron – North Coast Trainee of the Year was unable to be with us; however she did communicate her story to us as she wanted it to be shared with the others in the room. Feedback from the attendees on the day was very positive and grateful of the opportunity to come together and network while supporting the training awards."

Port Macquarie: Mercure Centro Hotel

"The launch at Port Macquarie was a great success with representation from a number of RTO’s, AAC’s, GTO’s, JSA’s, Mid Coast Connect, STS, Newman Senior Technical College, and employers. A total of 28 people attended.

The venue was fantastic - well presented and catered for.  We were thrilled to have the local paper turn up and take lots of photos.  They were very interested in the stories.

All of the speakers were brilliant - in particular Hugh Wells and Nicole de Vulder, with Nicole sharing a tear or two with many."
